PERFORMANCE

DUAL-FLANGE ROLLER SYSTEM

Dig with confidence over the side of the machine and experience greater slewing ability thanks to the dual flange track rollers. Operators will also notice smoother, more comfortable ride quality while moving across bumpy jobsites.

INTEGRATED REAR COUNTERWEIGHT

For added stability, the counterweight on compact (mini) excavators is integrated into the structure of the machine. This design contributes to an improvement of lift-over-side capacity up to 15 percent in select models. You’ll notice the difference when you’re lifting a heavy load - such as a culvert - and slewing over the side of the machine.

ANGLE BLADE

With the angle blade, you can configure your compact excavator’s blade to the left or right up to 25 degrees to find the best position for your work. Left and right adjustments help you backfill and grade faster. Downward adjustments, available on some models, stabilize your excavator when digging on an uneven surface or trenching at an angle.

INTEGRATED LIFT EYE

The integrated lift eye, standard on R2-Series excavators, gives you a convenient method for handling objects or moving items in and out of the trench.

Redesigned for reduced and simplified routine maintenance, the Bobcat® engine on R2-Series excavators delivers the performance you expect. The innovative fuel system, which is more forgiving when fuel levels are low, keeps you working longer. Improved cold-weather operation keeps you productive.

DEPTH CHECK SYSTEM*

Achieve an accurate grade every time without leaving your cab by using the Bobcat® depth check system. Efficient and easy to use, the system delivers accurate dig depth measurement for precise digging performance. It eliminates over-digging and the costs associated with backfilling and compacting fill material. It also prevents under-digging and the resulting need for manual labor to finalize depth or grade.

ADD-ON COUNTERWEIGHT

Maximize your lift capacity and take on heavy-duty jobs by adding the optional counterweight available on select Bobcat compact excavators.

BLADE FLOAT

Simplify grading and leveling. Blade float exerts a minimal, consistent down-force on the blade, with minimal operator input.

LOW-EFFORT JOYSTICKS

Low-effort joysticks in R2-Series excavators respond easily to operator input, helping operators work longer with less fatigue. They’re equipped with fingertip boom swing and auxiliary control, providing quick, precise movement with low effort.

STANDARD DISPLAY

Experience full-featured machine interaction and monitoring capabilities from inside the cab with the easy-to-read display. Standard on R2-Series excavators, the detailed full-color display provides access to diagnostic and operation information, allowing you to operate your compact excavator more efficiently and solve problems in the field. 

LED LIGHTS

Your work doesn’t stop until the job is done. Early in the morning or late at night, illuminate poorly lit jobsites with bright, efficient and reliable LED lights – standard on select compact excavators.

HEATED HIGH-BACK SEAT WITH HEADREST

The optional high-back seat with headrest keeps you comfortable and supported during long hours on the job. In cold conditions, the heated seat connects to the machine’s automatic temperature control to keep you warm and productive.

UPTIME PROTECTION

SIMPLE MACHINE TIE-DOWN

Get on and off the jobsite faster. Secure your load quickly, without searching for hard-to-reach tie-downs.

REAR CAMERA

Get a better view of your jobsite with the optional rear camera on R2-series excavators. It offers a continuous rear view from the operator’s seat, providing an additional viewpoint to the working area in some applications. The camera is mounted high and out of the way to prevent contact with obstacles and debris. A protective structure further ensures rear display reliability.

SERVICEABILITY

LONGER-LIFE FUEL FILTER

Larger fuel filters in R2-Series excavators provide better system protection and longer life before replacement. With more than double the media surface area, it has more holding capacity to capture impurities for longer intervals. The filter is also easier to change and includes a clear water bowl for easy monitoring and a sensor to notify you when draining is needed.

INCREASED ENGINE OIL SERVICE INTERVALS

The recommended engine oil service interval has increased from 500 to 750 hours, giving you more uptime per oil change.
